“The connection that makes the difference.”
A message from the president: Frankly we need your help on the executive board. The good news is the jobs are known, are manageable and take only a moderate amount of time. People are there to help you learn the tasks associated with the position. Also these folks are not going away so they will be there to advise you should the need arise.
Positions available:
Registration and desk help. This person greets & records attendees each month and handles relations with the hotel. Most of this job occurs before the meeting.
Treasurer: This person collects money and records in the club finance book. Pays bills.
The existing treasurer will provide step by step instructions.
Membership: this position keeps up the club roster and makes sure the annual membership mail out occurs during the summer.
One motivated person can do all three jobs with a minimum of time invested.

UPDATES FROM FAMFT
Notice regarding BCBS
Beginning January 1, 2010 BCBS announced changes for both providers and insured members regarding Behavioral Health. In addition to LMFT providers being able to provide services for Federal BCBS, all BCBS members must now obtain authorization for behavioral services. Since I have had some confused practitioners contact me, I thought a brief email might assist you.
. Starting 1/01/2010 mental health and substance abuse services require prior authorizations by BCBS.
. When services are provided by an In Network Provider, that provider will obtain prior authorization through Availity Health Information Network. When members use Out of Network providers, then the member is responsible for obtaining prior authorization. That authorization may be obtained by that provider or that member. If prior authorization is not obtained, services may be denied.
. To contact Availity, call 800-282-4548 or visit their website at www.availity.com.
TBAMFT is requesting volunteers for a state-wide conference committee. We are requesting at least one representative from each chapter. This committee will meet via conference calls.
Work of the task force: To promote both the May and winter conferences. To promote attendance, solicit exhibitors and sponsors, facilitate receptions, silent auctions, book sales, and in general success of the conferences.
Reward for service: Waived registration at either or both conferences. Training for workshop promotion. And lots of THANKS from FAMFT.
