It is with great pleasure, as the interim President of BAMFT, that I announce the renewal and reorganization of our chapter. The interim board is passionate about revitalizing our presence in the professional community and committed to helping therapists thrive. Our board members include: Kate Campbell as President; Randy Heller as President-Elect; Jeff Cotton as Secretary; Cathy Ponczek as Treasurer; Katie Lemieux as Board Member; and John McNamara as a returning Board Member. We must also acknowledge our Immediate Past President, Mike Rhodes, who remains on the board and AnnaLynn Schooley, a past BAMFT president and current President-Elect of FAMFT who continues to be an active volunteer.
We have co-constructed our vision for 2012 and are excited to announce a combination of professional networking events, educational workshops, and stuck case clinics. On April 20, 2012 our chapter will kick off the season by sponsoring a social networking event at Cafe Vico in Fort Lauderdale. BAMFT will host a dynamic 'Collaborative Law' workshop on May 18, 2012 and another workshop highlighting 'What Works for Passionately Committed Therapists' on July 20, 2012. Furthermore, BAMFT is planning a 2-day Registered Intern Pre-Licensure Workshop in August 2012 and a 2013 Licensure Renewal Workshop in November 2012 (including Domestic Violence CEUs for those who need them). The board is also developing a 'Private Practice Expo' comprised of multidisciplinary presenters who will share their expertise on the ins and outs of developing a successful private practice. A Message from Kate Campbell The Recharged Broward Association for Marriage and Family Therapy   Read President Campbell's earlier message at www.BAMFT.org (click here).    Dear BAMFT Members and MFT Colleagues:   I am happy to announce that elections will be held to cast ballots for a newly-reorganized and recharged BAMFT Board.  You may obtain a ballot and vote during our Meet and Greet on Friday, April 20; 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. at Cafe Vico in Fort Lauderdale (see below for additional information about the Meet and Greet--it's free!).
