Dear Colleagues:
On behalf of the board of the Palm Beach Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, I am pleased to announce the results of our recent election. Our new president is Lisa Palmer, Ph.D., LMFT, CHT. We are looking forward to Lisa's leadership and the remarkable energy we know she will bring to our organization. Our new president-elect is Rob Eubanks, Ph.D., LMFT, who in the role of treasurer has already been an invaluable asset to our group. Congratulations to both!
It has been an honor for me to serve as chapter president for these two years. Despite the challenges, I have found tremendous value in time spent with colleagues. In a profession that can be so isolating, our monthly meetings have offered an oasis of warmth, good will, and understanding. The opportunity for learning--from each other and from generous guest speakers--and for supporting each other as we do our work and build our practices has been dear to me as well. I appreciate all who participated, and I thank you for the experience.
So, PBAMFT lives on! I encourage clinicians to get involved and support our new leadership. A notice will go out soon with details about our next meeting.
